TerraRevo was the first contractor that we contacted when we first decided to rebuild our house that we have lived in since 2000, having just searched online. Our property, originally built in the 1950’s was 1300 sq ft on a 9000 sf lot, and we decided to that our best option was to build ground up a new 3138 sqft 2 story house, new 950 sqft garage, and landscape the front yard and back yard.

Jon and Hector walked us through the whole process, from understanding the design, construction process, to permits, the cost process and whole schedule. They, of course, know the ins and outs of the construction business, and how to deal with the city and public services which is no mean feat!

We were allowed to be involved in the process as must as we wanted to be, and probably to Jon and Hector’s annoyance we were very active in the design and understanding the details of the construction. But Jon and Hector were very patient with us, explaining any changes that had to made and accommodated our every request as best they could.

Tear down of the house started on March of 2019. We moved in the house in April of 2020, right at the start of the covid pandemic. There were delays that were outside of their control, especially when you are dealing with the city, permits or public services. They had extremely good sub-contractors for each of the sub-projects, and was pleased with the all the results.

Some construction continued after we moved in, only because we moved in during lock-down, and things were are unknown but we at least wanted to try and settle into our new home, which as it turned out meant we were locked in the new house during the pandemic.

I think we had the opportunity (time and money) to do this sort of project again, for sure Jon and Hector would the one’s I would call to help.

CUPERTINO REMODEL AND ADDITION

21865 San Fernando Avenue, Cupertino

TerraRevo Builders Inc has just finished a major home addition for us where we added over 1300 square feet (downstairs and upstairs) of living space plus a new 2-car garage. They are also wrapping up the landscaping work for us. When looking for a general contractor, our main criteria were trustworthiness and quality of work at a reasonable price. Jon and Hector have been both for us on this project.

We wanted our general contractor to be trustworthy and dependable since we knew there would be hiccups along the way. Jon and Hector worked hard to help us through them all. For example, it has been unusually rainy during our project. When it rained unexpectedly again and again, we could depend on Jon and Hector to try their best to keep our project dry.

Jon and Hector also made sure their work (and that of their subcontractors) was done well. When the subcontractors didn't finish the work quite right, Jon and Hector made sure it gets done again properly and correctly. At times, the subcontractors' schedule was hard to manage. Jon and Hector worked through the issues and got the job done! They were also able to work through difficult neighbors and tough City requirements.

We could tell and appreciate how Jon and Hector want to build our home well for us. No matter what the obstacles were, we knew we were in good hands and could trust Jon and Hector to see us through. If you have any questions, feel free to get our contact information from Jon and Hector. Good luck with your project!

Cheers to Terra Revo!

Terra Revo first came into our lives 6 years ago when a family member had commissioned them to build their dream home in Willow Glen. At that time, we had not even purchased our home yet, so a full-scale remodel wasn’t in our sights. Fast forward to 2021 and it was finally our turn to expand our home for our growing family.

From the very first meeting with Terra Revo, Jon and Hector understood our vision. Even though we came to the table with full scale architectural plans, they made some smart and creative suggestions that took our modest floor plan to an even greater level.

From design, to demolition, throughout construction, landscaping and all the way to their final punch list, Terra Revo made us first timers feel confident and proud of the project.

Jon and Hector are a very dynamic duo. Their communication style is natural, transparent, and constant. We never felt left out of the conversation. Not only was the project completed ahead of schedule, but the craftsmanship and finish work exceeded our expectations - we couldn’t be happier.

We are grateful to Terra Revo for making our house a home. Now let’s party!

Sincerely,

— Steve and Marissa

SAN JOSE NEW CONSTRUCTION

547 Snyder Avenue, San Jose

TerraRevo Builders are knowledgeable, experienced, capable and trustworthy. Jon and his company built my home from May 2020 to May 2021 during the pandemic. The scope of the project was a complete tear down and rebuild. And most recently they completed a follow-on project remodeling my detached garage from March to May 2024. The scope of the garage project was to transform an unfinished garage into a finished gym with a vaulted ceiling and skylights. Both projects were very successful, and I couldn’t be happier.

Jon and Hector are very knowledgeable in how to get through technical challenges in a project. In the case of my home there were errors and challenges in the design. A few examples were not having enough stairs in the plan and no provisions for running HVAC ducting (this was not a TerraRevo design). They expertly navigated the needed changes during the the building process and came up with efficient solutions that did not result in change orders or changes in the plans with the City of San Jose. Basically, whatever unforeseen problems they may encounter during construction, they will look for an efficient path forward with minimal impact.

Jon and Hector have the capability to get the project done on time. In both projects at my property, they met the schedule which was incredible to accomplish during the height of the pandemic. This speaks to their ability to manage multiple projects and juggle subcontractors and suppliers. They prompted us at exactly the right time to make multitudes of decisions, such as picking finishes, so to keep the project moving as planned. They guided us along the way, offering help when needed to make decisions. Dana, their in-house designer was helpful to help guide us with tile selections, paint colors, the kitchen layout, and the quartz countertop selections.

But of most importance, Jon and Hector are trustworthy. When I was getting started and interviewing builders, I had this terrible fear of ending up with a half-built house and out of money. In my case they kept a close eye on budget concerns throughout the process in both projects. All the change orders in my house project were made by our choice. However, one suggestion Jon and Hector made was to add a pantry and we absolutely love it. I don’t know how my designer didn’t see it, and we didn’t see it during planning, but it’s a center piece of the kitchen. This was a change order that is certainly worth every penny and seemed very reasonable in terms of cost. As far as post-build problems are concerned, out of the entire 2650 sq ft house I only had one problem with an electrical circuit discovered after living in the house for a few months. I informed Jon and this was fixed the next day. This speaks to the integrity of the company.

I highly recommend Jon and Hector at TerraRevo Builders. They can get the job done on time and on budget. You will get a high-quality product in the end.
